Counselling for adults and young people in a safe, comfortable and private setting

Are you seeking support to make sense of life's challenges?

Hi, my name is Fi, and I am an integrative counsellor. This means that I draw on many different theories to inform my work with you.

I am trained to work with many areas you may want to explore with particular interest in relationships, human connection, attachment, grief and loss.

I completed my training at Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling, qualifying with a Level 6 Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling. You can find me listed on their ‘Find A Therapist’ pages (

I live in Nailsworth, near Stroud, working with clients in a studio at my home. I also work online, allowing us to work together no matter where you are or how limited your time is.

I work in several educational settings and GP surgeries in Gloucestershire, in addition to my private practice.

I am a registered member of the BACP

Getting in touch does not obligate you in any way so please feel free to make contact and see how I might be able to help you.

Areas Where Counselling Can Help

Bereavement and Loss

Confidentially and without judgement I can help you work towards insight, awareness, solutions and change in your life.

What To Expect

Sessions are held weekly in person at my home in Nailsworth, or online via Zoom and last 50 minutes. I work during the day and some evenings.

A minimum commitment of 6 weekly sessions is recommended. Therapy with me is open ended and regularly reviewed in terms of progress.

All sessions cost £55. Some low cost places are available.

My Counselling Approach

Sometimes in life our mental health suffers and we feel in need of help. Now, more than ever, we are aware of the importance of addressing, not ignoring, this. Depending on our own history, we either reach out to find support or we drive the discomfort inside us, employing alternative strategies to avoid or numb the pain, prolonging and deepening the problems.

We all face challenges at some point in our lives and surviving them alone can feel overwhelming. It is my belief that through the relationship we build together we can experience, understand and repair the effects of those challenges. We might look at how you respond to people in your life, or stress, amongst other things. It can be useful to look at your past influences and how they have impacted your way of being throughout life and in the present.

I sometimes like to use art, poetry, visualisations and dreams to explore your inner world and help you to express what is going on for you. The process may touch on places of sadness or anxiety, but there may be laughter as well – I believe that humour can be a great source of healing.

Our work is confidential and I adhere to the professional ethics and standards of my professional body, BACP (, including ongoing professional development.

“If human beings live, die and thrive in relationships, it is through the relationship that the greatest therapeutic change may take place”
